Designed in accordance with the international standard of 18-hole lighting
golf course, Shenzhen Noble Merchant Golf Club (/Course) (hereinafter referred
to NM-Golf) opened on June, 28th, 1996, located on the Shenzhen Bay bank
and sited specifically at the prime sector of the Shennan Boulevard, adjacent
to fine scenery area, the “Window of the World” tower, “Splendid China” and the “Happy Valley”. NM-Golf is only 30-minute and 20-minute
drive from Shenzhen Railway Station and Port Shekou respectively. Covering
an area of 500 000sq. meters, NM-Golf was elaborately designed by Les Watts,

NM-Golf is a standard 18-hole course whose par is 72, with a total fairway yardage of 986 . Hole 7, 17 and 18 are the special ones. Hole 7 is
a short one, 132--yard long. The green is surrounded by water, in front
of which are bunkers. The teeing distance, direction and accuracy are the
key factors to decide if a player can tee off on the green. During
this process, waterfalls, dancing willows, wrinkling pools and greens comes
into eyes, presenting a paradise. Especially at night the specialties
of lighting golf course comes into a full display. The Howe, a 5-par hole,
525yards long, is the most difficult one, posing challenge from A to Z.
Player, for example, will encounter the challenge of 100-yard pool when
marking the second stroke, which is the one-for-all stroke. If succeed, player
will experience the excitement of his strategic striking manner. What’s
more, all players will see the essence of lob striking. The following Back
nine will test out a professional golf player, and during this process,
players will encounter deliberately fabricated greens, water hazards and
sand dunes, forming a strong defense line. Players would probably end up
in predicament if sparing any cautiousness.
